This post will enlighten you on how to extend your WhatsApp expiry date before it expires. As you may already know it, WhatsApp is a free one year instant messaging service which needs renewal every year. Actually, Whatsapp renewal fee is $0.99 which is not that much. However, the payment modes available makes it very difficult for Nigerians their WhatsApp application whenever it gets expired. So, this is the reason why it is better to extend your WhatsApp expiry date before it is reached.

Although, some WhatsApp users do uninstall their expired WhatsApp application and also install new it again so as to renew it. But you do not necessarily need to do that anymore. You will only need another active SIM Card. You can buy or borrow a SIM Card has not yet been used for any WhatsApp account before.

So How do I extend my WhatsApp expiry date?

Sometimes ago in the past, WhatsApp team. introduced an option for users to change their WhatsApp numbers. This was aimed at swapping your Whatsapp account to a new one without losing your data. Using this, you can easily extend your WhatsApp expiry date. just follow these steps below:

(1). Open your WhatsApp application on your phone.

(2). Click on 'About'. However, Android device users should simply click the 'Function' button so as to see the hidden menu.

(3). Now, click on the 'Account Info' Tab.

(4). Click on 'Change my number'.

(5). At this point, you have to enter your WhatsApp phone number in the first box and also, enter the new phone number in the second box.

(6). Complete the verification process and you will be notified that you have successfully changed your Whatsapp phone number.

(7). This process will extend your Whatsapp expiry date by a year.

So just follow the above steps and change it again back to your former WhatsApp phone number. Then, you can continue enjoying your WhatsApp application for another free year. This is the method I have been using to extend my WhatsApp expiry date for sometime now. I hope it works for you too.

Take note: You do not have to bother yourself if it shows your old expiry date after changing back to your old WhatsApp phone number. Simply close your WhatsApp application, open it again, check your account information and you will definitely see the new expiry date there. This works perfectly for all versions of WhatsApp.
