About Buying an Item and Amazon Prime Membership Together for a Discount

On some occasions, you can receive a discount on Amazon Prime membership fee $99 by purchasing it together with another item on Amazon. On the Product Detail page of an item, it will be clearly specified whether such Amazon Prime Discount is available.

Whenever you purchase Amazon Prime Membership along with another product for a discount, a portion of the item discount will be applied to the Amazon Prime membership fee while the remaining portion will be applied to the other Amazon item. You can also verify the prices you were charged for the item and the Prime membership by viewing Your Orders.

If the Amazon Prime membership is marked as a gift of Prime, your specified recipient of the gift will receive an e-mail containing a link through which he or she can redeem one year of Prime for his account.

However, if you do not mark the Purchased Amazon Prime membership as a gift then, the year of Prime will be automatically applied to the Amazon account through which it was purchased.

Take note that existing Amazon Prime members are not eligible to purchase Amazon Prime membership alongside another item on Amazon for a discount.
