About Amazon Households

The Amazon Households allows Amazon users to easily share their Amazon items, products and content with their family members using a Family Library. Setting up an Amazon Household also allows Amazon Prime members to share certain Amazon Prime Benefits with members of their respective Amazon Households.

Notably, Amazon Households can contain as much as six members comprising of 2 adults each of whom must have an Amazon account and up to 4 children who do not necessarily need Amazon accounts in order to be a part of the household and get their share of Amazon Benefits.

To successfully share Amazon contents and Amazon Prime benefits with Amazon Households, both adult Amazon account holders need to authorise each other to use the Debit and Credit cards associated with their Amazon accounts for Amazon Shopping and Purchases. Their current payment settings will not be affected by so doing. But each of the 2 adults will be able to get the credit and debit cards details of each other to his or her Amazon account and use them for Shopping/purchases on the Amazon Store.

••• Amazon Household and Family Library:

The Family Library feature allows you to link 2 Amazon accounts together such that they can mutually share books on your Kindle, Media Apps and other compatible Amazon devices. Also, the Amazon Content from both accounts can be added to the profiles of up to four children. ••• Sharing Prime Benefits - How to manage and share Amazon Prime Benefits in Households:

Only the 2 Adults in an Amazon Household are Eligible to share Amazon Prime benefits. Other Amazon Customers who are either guests invited by other Amazon Prime members or Amazon Student Prime members (whether on free trials or paid subscriptions) cannot share their benefits. However, other categories of Amazon Prime members can share eligible Amazon benefits.
