Just like I discussed in my previous post, it always pays more to update your blogs, websites and other content management platforms at the proper intervals with the trending information, news, events and latest issues that are closely related to the niche that you deal in. Ultimately, this very practice goes a long way to improve your search engine rankings, visibility and optimization to a great extent.
As for all my Nigerian bloggers, I have a very good news for you all. A few minutes ago, the West African Examination Council (WAEC) - a recognized institution and body charged with the responsibility of conducting periodic examinations for students (who have successfully completed their secondary school curriculum all over Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra-Leone and Gambia) just released the 2012/2013 May/June Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations which was concluded a few months ago. As a blogger or online writer, putting up a wonderful post about this very trending information will optimize your contents in the search engine results and get you more visitors than you can ever imagine.
However, for those you who were candidates for the examination, follow the step by step directions below and check your results without much stress:
(1). Visit any WAEC Zonal office nearest to you or any other authorized banks and dealer and purchase a WAEC result-checking scratch card from them if you do not have one already.
(2). Once you have your scratch card with you, visit the WAEC Result-checking portal at www.waecdirect.org and you will see a form right there on the homepage. Now, you have to proceed by filling up the required fields with the required details.
(3). Type in your WAEC Examination Number which should be a total of ten digits. The first set of seven numbers makes up your 'centre number' while the last three digits stands for your 'candidate number'. So take proper note of this.
(4). Input your WAEC Examination Year which of course should be a four-fight figure. For instance, 2013.
(5). Now, go to the next field and choose the particular examination that you took; either the WAEC May/June exams or the November/December exams.
(6). The next step is for you to enter the Serial Number of your scratch card which you will see on its opposite side.
(7). Carefully type in the Scratch card's Personal Identification Number (that is the PIN).
(8). Once you are sure that you have carefully done all that I have instructed you above, hit the 'Submit' button that you will see below the form, wait for a few seconds and your WAEC result will be fetched and displayed for you on the screen. From there then, you can print it out or save it for future retrieval purposes.
Alternatively too, you can check your WAEC Result through your mobile phone whether it is internet-enabled or not. This system is known as the 'Scratch card improved SMS usage'. All you have to do is to follow the simple directions below and you will have your result safely delivered to you through your mobile phone in a few seconds:
(1). Go to the message icon on your mobile phone and start a new message.
(2). The content of the message should be in the following format:
WAEC*ExamNumber* ScratchCardPIN*ExamYear
Please be sure to provide the required details above so that your message content will now be something like this:
WAEC*4150852936*5050*2013
Please do not put spaces inbetween any of the characters shown above otherwise you will not get any feedback from WAEC on completing this process.
(3). Send the message to the 5-digit shortcode 32327. Take note that this service is only available only to the subscribers of the MTN, Glo and Celtel networks. Each text sent to the shortcode above will cost you the sum of N30 only.
(4). Wait for a few seconds and your WAEC result will be messaged back to your phone in a jiffy. You can save it there for reference purposes.
Finally, bear it in mind that you can use a given scratch card to check your WAEC result only for a maximum of 5 times. Once your chances are exhausted, you need to purchase another scratch card from the WAEC office nearest to your location or any other authorized dealer and the same conditions will subsequently apply too. Again, your scratch card can only be used to check your result only. Once used to check your result, you can never use it to check the result of other candidates bearing different examination numbers.
I wish you all sweet success !!!
