Blogging is an activity that can either be seen as a leisure activity or a serious business. When your passion for a particular topic or issue is the main driving motive that gives you the strength to carry on with blogging then, you are more of a passive and leisure blogger. On the contrary, if your motivation to engage yourself in blogging stems up from the fact that you want to make money online through advertisement networks, product and information marketing, service rendition and other online revenue channels then, you are the type that is in for a serious blogging business. Such features and prerequisites for blogging both tangible and intangible includes the following:
(1). An internet-enabled device. It can be a PC, a mobile phone, Laptops and the likes of them.
(2). Access to internet connection whenever it is time for blogging.
(3). Your sitting room or office of course. You do not blog while walking up and down or standing. You need to be relaxed and ready !
(4). A research personality. Bloggers are go-getters. Do not wait for the information to reach you before you proceed. Instead, go out into the internet or even offline, research into archives, make inquiries and get your desired information relating to issues that you want to write about.
(5). Punctuality and Timeliness cannot be overlooked. By this, I mean that a blogger should be swift, sharp and quick in his or her activities. By so doing, you post your contents whenever they are needed by your users and not after they do not need it so much anymore.
(6). Originality is the key. Always be unique and follow your own ways. You can imitate others but do not duplicate them. Make your contents unique and see them getting optimized, indexed, crawled, ranked higher and made visible by search engines.
(7). Pro bloggers must have a sound mind, a good sense of reasoning as well as a good control of the particular language of their choice. Above all, you should be a literate before you can be considered as a professional blogger.
(8). Management skills cannot be left out as one of the essential ingredients that a blogger must possess in order to be successful on the long-run. Bloggers need to have a good sense of how to organize, plan, co-ordinate, control and see to the smooth day to day running of their blog without much loopholes. Bloggers are content managers thus, they need to co-operate with each other too in order to learn new things together succeed together, solve their problems easily and move on together as well.
(9). A patient personality is also indispensable whenever you talk about success in the field of blogging. Without a patient heart, a desperate and an ambitious blogger can easily get confused, broke, stranded, frustrated and troubled on the long-run. At this point, failure will hit him hard in oblivion. If you are an impatient type, please go back and pick up your patient mind from where you threw it and start dancing to its tune.
