From my personal observations severally; both in the public places, outside gatherings and individual confinements, most of us now find it very difficult to say our prayers before and after each meal or food that we take. At least, let us be grateful to our almighty God for providing for us what to eat in a world where so many others who can pray and also have the ability to eat cannot afford any food to keep them going on in the world healthily and satisfied.

As a matter of fact and a good reference deserving due attention and consideration, our Holy Bible from all indications show-cased our Lord Jesus Christ as a man of prayer who always prayed to God in heaven before any meal. He did so during the feeding of the 5000 men, during his last supper with his disciples and on many other occasions too numerous to mention here. The effects of prayers on food cannot be over-emphasized. It sanctifies the food that we take and if you believe in miracles, prayers when properly said upon meals can eliminate any form of dangers, harmful substances and food poisons contained inside the food either willfully by someone or in oblivion.

Saying your prayers before meals also presents you as a man of faith; not that you are too innocent without any atom of stains and sins, but its a sign that your exemplary christian life is worth living by others and thus; deserves emulation. Although the vast denomination of Christians all over the world respectively have not yet agreed on a particular piece of prayer to be said before and after our daily meals, it is a good thing to say such prayers in our own personal ways or according to the just teachings of our respective churches as long as blessing and sanctifying the food for our well-being and ultimately giving thanks to God the provider of all things are coined together in the prayer. It is proper and worths making it a part of our daily christian lives.
